Dog Spot

This is the first time I have used Dog Spot Lawn Repair. I applied it three weeks ago when the last snow was gone and there was the typical damage from our two dogs where they burnt the lawn over the winter months. I applied the second treatment today (three weeks apart due to more bad weather, cold and rain). I am thrilled. When it warms up to 60 degrees, I will overseed a little and my work is done!. I will continue to treat with the DOG SPOT product on a regular schedule (entire back yard - monthly, and areas most frequented by my dogs every two weeks, or whenever necessary). I used this on some dog urine spots that were barely showing, not yellow and dead, but slightly discolored green grass that was just a little dull instead of bright green. This is about the earliest that you can tell there is urine damage starting. I cured the product as directed, and applied it generously over the affected area. It didn't stop the progress of the damage. I applied it again but the grass died and turned yellow in spite of the treatment. I used the product four different times, always applying more than the minimum but it never worked at all. This product just doesn't work.

Using the product was fine however, there were two issues. 1: the product was advertised as tear stain removal and it has not reduced the tear stains as of yet. 2: I didn’t sign up for auto delivery. I called and they said they would cancel the auto delivery. I guess she didn’t contact shipping quickly enough so they shipped the product anyway. We live in the mid-south area, west TN to be specific. May 2016 we did a complete refurbishment of the back yard, which included total re-sod with Palisades Zoysia. Within two weeks time, there were multiple burn spots all over the new sod where our 40 lb female dog was relieving herself. Spots would typically be 8" to 12" in diameter and were quite visibly damaged - completely brown. We started her on a diet supplement to reduce the occurrence, however there were nearly two dozen burn locations by the time I found this product and had a 1 gallon container in-hand. I mixed about 20% of the product into a 5 gallon bucket of water, let it set for about an hour. I poured about 2 quarts on each spot to saturate. Healing process began to be noticeable within about a week. Within two weeks, most of the treated areas were largely healed. I repeated the process over a second two week period. I left two untreated spots as "control samples". These, by comparison, did not heal at all during the total four week span during which all other areas were treated and visibly improved. Plenty of rain and watering aided the process. Now I have just a few remaining and a couple of new spots to treat. Therefore I just ordered another gallon to finish the job and use for maintenance. The product is somewhat expensive, which is why I rated it as four stars instead of five. However compared to the considerable investment made in terms of new sod, I would consider it to be worthwhile.
