I tried powdered vitamins for months and half of it just sat at the bottom of the waterer. Catalyst Liquid actually mixes in and stays mixed. My girls have been laying more consistently since I switched, especially through summer heat.

I order Catalyst & Hen Helper and use them regularly in my chickens water. I recommend it to everyone who has Polish chickens or any chickens that may have an issue absorbing vitamins or that has a vitamin deficiency. I tried multiple different things with no success. I have oyster shell out 24/7, they are on Kalmbach feed, so vitamin & calcium % was correct. I have a hen that lays soft eggs and nothing would resolve the issue. I bought these products as a last resort for her and if it didn’t resolve the issue I was going to get rid of her. I started these products and within 5-7 days she finally laid her very 1st hard egg after months of only soft eggs. At the time, I also had 2 polish hens who I had been giving regular vitamins to individually every 6weeks because they would get lethargic (they had vitamin absorption issues). They also have NOT had to be treated individually for this since starting the catalyst & hen helper. I did want to do my checks and balances to be sure I really did find the cure for those 3 hens. After finishing the 1st bottles of catalyst & hen helper I waited a to see if they would fall back. After l about 3 weeks of no catalyst & he helper my soft egg layer started laying soft eggs again. At about the 5 week mark the 2 Polish went down being lethargic again. So I started the new bottles of catalyst & hen helper and my 29 hens have been getting that in their water ever since. I have had ZERO soft eggs and no lethargic chickens since. It’s truly a fabulous product! I have told hundreds of people about it in the chicken groups. It’s totally worth every single penny! Good stuff
I like how this product doesn’t smell like rosemary. My chickens are actually drinking water still with this addition. It’s too soon to notice any changes in them physically. I will continue to use. I like that it’s concentrated so a little goes a long way.

The Supplement Your Birds Need
My flock of 30 heritage birds stopped laying around the time other flock owners started noticing a drop in production (Sept '22), not just due to the fall/winter either. I also noticed combs & wattles were looking pale & "crusty" or dry. When I cuddled my girls, some of their keels were significantly pronounced, indicating some were underweight. I have not only switched feed, but I added Poultry Catalyst Vitamin in conjunction with the Big Ole Bird to their routine to help the uptake of the new food nutrients & make them more bioavailable to my girls. Not only are most back to laying, their combs & wattles are a vibrant red, indicative of optimal health, they have also put on good weight. Some reviews stated Big Ole Bird made the drinking water dark & murky, which my girls were not a fan of, so I backed off the application until they got used to it, took about a week, then used as suggested without them turning their beaks up at it. *Suggestion* My only adjustment with this product were the bottles they came in. For a small flock, the gallon is quite large, it's difficult to slowly pour out 1 tsp. I added a pump from a local restaurant supply store which has helped keep waste down, these supplements are costly but totally worth it, just don't want to see spills on the floor. For the Poultry Catalyst Vitamin, I swapped the top for a flip 'n squirt style lid, keeping the product from pouring down the sides of the bottles. Other than that, quality products! Read more
