Order Support

Did your order arrive leaking?

Good news: a little leakage is normal for our living, liquid products — and you almost certainly still have the full amount you paid for. Here's why it happens and what to do.

The short answer

We fill every bottle with extra volume in anticipation of the small amount of leakage that can occur in shipping. So even if your bottle shows some seepage on arrival, you should have the correct volume of product. Wipe it down, give it a shake, and use it as directed. If you measure it out and still feel you're short, we'll make it right.

Watch: why bottles leak in transit

A quick explanation from our team on why leakage happens and why your volume is still correct.

Why does this happen?

Our products are biological — living, active liquids. As your order travels, it passes through changes in temperature, altitude, and pressure. Those changes make the bottle expand and contract, which can push a small amount of product past the cap seal.

It's a normal characteristic of shipping liquid biologicals and is not a sign of a defective product. The product inside is unaffected — its quality, potency, and safety are exactly what they should be.

Frequently asked questions

My bottle leaked during shipping. Did I lose product?

Almost certainly not. We fill every bottle with extra volume specifically to account for the small amount of leakage that can happen in transit. Even when a bottle shows some seepage on arrival, you should still have the full amount of product you paid for.

Why do the bottles leak in the first place?

Our products are living, biological liquids, and they ship across changing temperatures, altitudes, and pressures. Those changes cause bottles to expand and contract, which can push a little product past the cap seal. It is normal for liquid biologicals and is not a sign of a defective product.

Is the product still good if it leaked?

Yes. A little external leakage does not affect the quality, potency, or safety of the product inside the bottle. Give it a gentle shake, wipe down the outside, and use it as directed.

How do I know I received the correct volume?

Because we overfill to compensate for transit loss, a leaked bottle will typically still hold at or above the labeled volume. If you measure it out and genuinely believe you are short, contact us — we will make it right.

What should I do if I think I am actually short on product?

Reach out to our team at 800-608-3755 or success@southlandorganics.com. Let us know your order number and what you are seeing, and we will take care of you.

How should I store and handle a bottle that arrived with leakage?

Wipe the bottle and cap clean, store it upright in a cool place out of direct sunlight, and keep the cap closed tightly between uses. Then apply as directed on the label.

Still have a concern?

If you've checked your volume and believe you're genuinely short — or anything else doesn't look right — our team is here to help and will make it right.
