How to Apply
Shake well before use. Mix eight to ten ounces of Torched per gallon of water. For hardy weeds, mix ten to twelve ounces per gallon of water. Pour the diluted mixture into a sprayer.
Set your sprayer nozzle to the "spray” setting and hold the nozzle six inches away from the undesired vegetation.
Spray weeds on your driveway, sidewalk, garden or lawn liberally, but not to the point of run-off.
Re-treat hard-to-kill weeds after five to seven days if needed.
Protect desirable plants during application by shielding them. If accidentally sprayed, immediately rinse the plants and surrounding area with large amounts of water.
When to Apply
For best results, apply during warm (above 60° F), sunny weather.
Spray only when the air is calm to prevent drift to desirable plants.
Re-treat if it rains within 24 hours of spraying.
Not for aquatic use.
Caution
Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. In case of contact, rinse immediately with water and seek medical attention if irritation persists. Do not ingest. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
Get to the root of unwanted grass and weeds without spending a full day on the weed eater. Instead, take it all out with our safe, non-selective weed killer: Torched. This convenient formula is ideal for broadleaf weeds and grasses in driveways, sidewalks, gardens and flower beds.
Torched eliminates weeds without the use of toxic chemicals. It is FIFRA 25(b) exempt and safe to spray around livestock, pets, yards, greenhouses, chicken coops and poultry houses when used as directed.
This product can expose you to methyl eugenol, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer. Methyl eugenol makes up less than 1% of this product. For more information, go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.

It’s been one day and Torched does not seem to have taken effect. Why isn’t it working?
It is working! Torched takes a little bit more time to take effect than conventional weed killers. While these products may seem to have instant impacts, they wash away quickly and contain harmful chemicals, making them short-term solutions that are not completely safe for your family, pets and wildlife. Torched uses surfactants and oil to get into the physical plant and kill it from the inside, providing a long-term, safe solution. Torched gets added benefits from the sun, so if you spray Torched on a colder, cloudy day, give it a bit more time to work its magic.
Does Torched need a "sticker" (that is, a separate chemical to help it bind to the plant)?
Nope! Torched has a highly effective, non-selective formula that can be used alone.
What all does Torched kill?
Torched kills non-selective broadleaf weeds and grasses in driveways, sidewalks, gardens and flower beds. Torched can kill more stubborn weeds, but will likely require 2-3 applications to achieve a full kill. However, people, pets and wildlife are completely safe around Torched and will not be harmed if they come into contact with an area on which Torched has been sprayed.
Is Torched safe for bees and other pollinators?
Yes! Torched attacks unwanted plants and does not linger in the area in which it is applied. Once your unwanted plants are gone, Torched is gone! Other organisms, pets and children are completely safe around Torched.
Is it safe to spray Torched around my chicken coop?
Yes, Torched can be safely sprayed around your coop.
I mixed a batch and did not use it all. Will it store safely?
Yes, Torched will store safely. Simply seal the nozzle, and you can reuse any leftover weed killer.
How does Torched work?
Weed killers work by dehydrating weeds, plants and unwanted vegetation. They do this by removing the waxy protective coat. This coat is what seals in water in the phyllosphere (the above ground part of the plant). Homemade weed killers, such as white vinegar, lemon juice based recipes and even boiling water, aim to do the same thing. The white vinegar strips the waxy coat, and as the sun begins to beat down, we see a loss of moisture. Torched was carefully crafted to be safe for the soil bacteria, ground and roots while also being much more effective than homemade remedies for weeds. It takes the same action of removing the plants' protective coating and drying them from the leaf to the root.
After spraying Torched, how long should I wait before I can plant where I sprayed?
You can begin to plant two weeks after your initial application of Torched. If you experience heavy rainfall, you can plant directly after that if Torched has already achieved your desired result. If you experience heavy rainfall before the desired results, you may need to apply Torched again.
Can Torched be used with other weed killers and weed preventions?
Since Torched is a naturally derived product, we see no reason for it not to be used with other products. Killing weeds is a challenging undertaking.
Can Torched be used on my lawn?
We all want the perfect lawn! However, Torched is non-selective, meaning that it kills weeds and grass. We do not advise spraying your lawn or ground covers unless you are trying to use Torched as a burn down or to kill grass. Torched is ideal to use in the garden and around fence lines and flower beds.
How does Torched stack up to homemade weed killers?
Homemade weed killers have their place, but they are often more dangerous and toxic than people realize. Typical homemade weed killer recipes are based on vinegar, boiling water, strong acetic acid, lemon juice and liquid dish soap.
Vinegar and acetic acid should only be used under safety precautions. Vinegar is a great multipurpose product, but regular white vinegar solution is typically too weak to do much damage to plants. While 5% vinegar can work, 8% vinegar or higher is needed to really make an effective weed killer. High percentage vinegar should be dealt with extreme caution, and you should always wear protective gear.
Boiling water is simple, but it requires much more time and risk than spraying a concentrate like Torched. Why boil water and walk back and forth from your kitchen to your garden when you can just spray one product on your soil?
While homemade weed killers are admirable, the acetic acid concentration has to be really high to kill weeds, and at that point, the cost might not justify the added risk. We urge you to be careful and use protective gear if you decide to attempt to make your own formula to kill weeds.
