Season-Long Lawn Program (recommended)
For a complete lawn care plan custom to your turf zone and lawn size, use our Natural Lawn Care Bundle program. Apply Revival in the late summer and early fall as advised in the program. Take this quick quiz to learn which bundle is right for you!
Applying Revival Alone
Use Revival at the end of the summer season when your lawn is thick with grass clippings (thatch)—or whenever your lawn needs aeration. Liquid aeration involves spraying a solution to loosen soil without physical extraction.
Southland Organics Sprayer Quart Instructions
If you're using the Southland Organics sprayer quart, insert the straw into the black sprayer nozzle. Attach the nozzle to the sprayer quart bottle of Revival. Attach your hose to the sprayer nozzle, and turn on your water. Turn the dial on the sprayer nozzle to "mix," and the sprayer will automatically dilute the product to the proper ratio. Spray in even strokes, saturating your grass with the mixture. A full quart should take about 3 minutes and cover approximately 1,000 square feet.
Using Your Own Sprayer Instructions
If you're using your own sprayer, assemble your sprayer as directed by the manufacturer. Pour Revival in the reservoir. Turn the dilution dial to 1 ounce or 2 tablespoons, depending on which unit is used on your sprayer. Spray in even strokes, saturating your grass with the mixture. A full quart of product will cover approximately 1,000 square feet.
Landscapers
Apply 5–7 ounces of Revival per 1,000 square feet of land with a minimum dilution ratio of 1:20 for liquid aeration.
Once Revival has been mixed with water, be sure to use the entire mixture within 24 hours.
Apply every 28 days at the end of the summer season when grass is thick with thatch and lawn aeration is needed.
*One 2.5 gallon jug will cover approximately 46,000 square feet.
Golf Courses
Apply 7 ounces of Revival per 1,000 square feet of green with a minimum dilution ratio of 1:20 for liquid aeration.
This aeration treatment ensures that the greens receive optimal water and nutrient penetration. Revival contains a wetting agent that promotes water movement and soil penetration, enhancing the effectiveness of liquid aeration.
Once Revival has been mixed with water, be sure to use the entire mixture within 24 hours.
Apply every 28 days at the end of the summer season when grass is thick with thatch and core aeration is needed.
Feed Your Grass for a Full Turf Revival
Revival is the ultimate compost accelerant, liquid aerator and microbial dethatcher, reviving lawns to healthy and lush conditions. The blend of biologically active, organic carbon, organic acids and microbes restores turf at the end of the season—without the use of harmful chemicals.
Revival breaks surface tension, reduces soil compaction, composts organic matter and processes excess nutrients from previous feedings. This liquid lawn aerator boosts microbial activity before harmful, disease-causing microorganisms begin feeding aggressively in cooler soil temperatures. Liquid lawn aerators like Revival penetrate deeper than traditional methods, enhancing soil health and promoting robust grass growth.
Breathe life back into your turf as aerification takes place late in the hot season or as temperatures first begin to drop. Aerification is necessary, but it also adds more stress—so Revival helps turf heal faster.
Fall applications of Revival prime the soil for winter months and springtime by amplifying beneficial microbes in soil that stave off fall-forming diseases. Adding a strong microbial punch ensures destructive bacteria and fungi are held at bay by competitive exclusion and less able to feed on excess soil nutrients. This all-natural solution feeds the grass for a full turf revival!
Revival promotes healthier plant growth, soil, grass and an overall healthy lawn.
What is Liquid Aeration?
Traditional core aeration, a type of mechanical aeration, includes running a core aerator across your lawn. Mechanical core aeration equipment pulls little soil cores, or soil plugs, out of your lawn and drops them on the top of your grass. In a few days, the plugs break apart and re-fill the holes in the soil. The soil expands sideways before the holes are filled back in, allowing for core aeration.
Lawn aeration with mechanical core aerators is an effective method, but it's costly to buy or rent the equipment. You can hire lawn care professionals to manually aerate your lawn for you, but that is expensive, too.
Liquid lawn aeration is a "do it yourself" solution that is simpler and less expensive than mechanical core aeration. You can apply a liquid aerator on your time, as often as needed, without having to hire a lawn aeration service. It covers more ground and reaches deeper into the soil, too. So, what is liquid aeration? It is a modern alternative to traditional core lawn aeration, using specially formulated solutions to enhance water and nutrient penetration in the soil.
Liquid aeration products like Revival help maintain healthy soil in the process of aerating your lawn's root system. They provide added soil biology that can stimulate microbes and help provide essential nutrients for healthier growth of grass roots.
How does liquid lawn aeration work? Liquid aerators break down dense soil particles, including high content clay soil. This creates small air pockets that loosen the soil and allow air, water and nutrients to penetrate deeper than traditional core aeration. As a result, the soil is healthier and the grass can grow better!
Core Aeration for Compacted Soil
Lawn aeration is necessary because simply enjoying your lawn naturally creates compacted soil. Activities like walking on your lawn, sitting on your lawn and having kids or pets play on your lawn can contribute to soil compaction. When this happens, soil particles are squeezed closer together, and your lawn doesn't have the aeration it needs to grow well.
Revival is a liquid aeration solution to reduce soil compaction after a long summer of enjoying your lawn!
Southland Organics turf and lawn care products leverage our three core features to supercharge soil with the building blocks turf grass needs to thrive.
The added beneficial microbes help decompose residual pesticides and herbicides and unlock bound nutrients in the soil. This makes nutrients available to plants in simpler, more easily absorbed forms. Microbes amplify conventional programs by making your inputs work harder for longer.
Organic acids and top-quality, organic carbon work to break surface tension of compacted soils and deliver oxygen to the root zone. Grass grows deeper roots in oxygenated soil, helping it resist disease and overtake weeds.
Carbon is the main building block of all organic life. In fact, 50% of plant life is made up of carbon. Carbon feeds microbes and is critical to microbial health. The microbes, in turn, assimilate nutrients and deliver them to the roots for growth and development. Carbon is the ultimate macro element that lawns need to thrive.
With these three secret ingredients, plants develop deeper roots, retain water, resist disease and pests and become lush and healthy. Our soil amendments are a vital portion of a well-crafted turf program. Business owners will increase their results and experience less stress with more profits. Homeowners will grow beautiful lawns with no harmful chemicals.
Walking at a quick pace, our sprayer quart of liquid lawn aerator will cover up to 4,000 square feet.
Yes, our liquid lawn aerator is actually designed to amplify your existing program. Our customers rave about how their inputs are just simply better when using our products in conjunction. Get the most out of your fungicides, fertilizers and overall program with a simple addition to your turf nutrition.
Yes, you have to use it all at once. The bacteria will activate and they will start to "bloom." This will produce A LOT of methane in the container, and it will swell and burst. The great thing is that you cannot over apply it. The more concentrated the better!
For the most part, the answer is YES! Jump Start, Ultimate Tea, Genesis, Omega, Revival and Ignition are all based on microbes, organic acids and carbon. While they do contain all 72 micronutrients, they are not considered fertilizers and will not burn the plants. FertALive is a fertilizer, so it SHOULD NOT be applied with other fertilizer products. The added nitrogen is likely to burn the plants and kill them.
